Life Worth Sharing
In November 2012, Alex and I purchased our forever home in a historic neighborhood. Our French Norman revival home was built in 1930, in a little pocket of Urban Orange County where California architectural history has been preserved. We wanted a historic home, but we got so much more. Right after we moved in, the moments began- random acts of neighborliness- the likes of which we had never experienced before. Little did we know, we weren’t just buying a new home, we were buying into a community.
What does it mean to be Neighborly? We think it is being helpful, friendly, kind, and community oriented. It’s about sharing your life with others.
I’m sharing the moments that make our neighborhood unique… and how you can recreate them in your own neighborhood. I hope this inspires you to share your own random acts of neighborliness.
What a great idea, Summer! I loved reading your intro and seeing your pics of your beautiful abode. Well done, Toots! Oh! And welcome to the ‘hood!
