April showers bring May flowers. In my garden, LATE May flowers (Ok, now June). I anxiously await the arrival of the agapanthus each year. Mysteriously, they spring up overnight, long green spears, hiding a colorful secret. Then, slowly but surely, they pop in to an explosion of purple. It’s not that the rest of my yard isn’t colorful- it is. It’s just that these put on such a festive show, and they’re so reliable. So, here I wait for their show.
How to be Neighborly: Be patient.
