Raindrops on Roses… & Cooking Spray

Every once in a while I run across something that is the perfect version of itself.  These are my favorite things, and I’d like to share them with you.  This week’s edition:

  • COOKING SPRAY, more specifically BAKING spray.

baking sprayOne thing I hate about baking is oiling and flouring cake pans.  It’s messy, I always seem to miss a spot, and when the cake comes out, it has a white dust of flour on it.  Ugh… all that effort for an ugly cake.

PAM to the rescue!  They make baking spray with the flour already included.  Just spray it on, pour in your batter, and out pops a clean, beautiful cake.  No sticking!

Now, let’s go bake a cake, shall we?

  1. I have found that using sugar instead of flour on the bottom of pans relieves the white flour dilemma on the finished cake… works well for cakes that are not going to be iced in any way.
