Provencale

Could I have been inspired by my “work” trip to France?  Maybe, or was it the red tomato looking at me wondering how I would use it.  Immediately, my mind went to work.  Provencale means any dish cooked in a sauce made with tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil.  I had those such ingredients in my kitchen one random weeknight, and so Swordfish Provencale was born.  So easy and so good, this is a perfect weeknight meal. Fruit of Unusual Size

In my CSA delivery, I received the most gigantic mango you have ever seen.  It must have weighed at least two pounds!  Combine that with the giant pomegranates from my neighbor, and I was beginning to worry that alien gigantic fruits were about to take over the world…

New tricks for an old cook

 

We finally got to see D&C’s new home in Temecula in the fall.  It’s stunning, and I’m so happy for both of them.  It had been WAY too long since we had seen our friends, but when we got back together, it was like we had never been apart.  That’s the mark of great friendship, I suppose.
